this cover was commissioned by Dustin Drury as part of the Kickstarter campaign for our Hard Times Go LP. I thought about how I would approach it for a really long time. It's definitely a ridiculous song for me to be singing, but i tried to approach it as directly as i could. When I listened to the original version of the song I was struck by the underlying sadness that it had.
